AI Magic Editor
AI Magic Editor edits photos and builds videos entirely on your device. We don't have servers that see your images, and we can't — the app was built so there's nowhere for a photo to go. This page explains exactly what that means, plus the two things that do use the network: the app's connectivity check and advertising.
Every editing feature — AI object removal, background removal, enhancement, filters, crop, text, stickers, and the Movie Maker — runs using models and code bundled inside the app itself. When you open a photo, it's decoded and processed in the device's own memory and written back to the device's own storage when you export. At no point does the app send that image, a mask you painted, a thumbnail, or any derived data to us or to any third party.
Projects you save appear only in the app's own local storage and in your device's photo gallery once exported. Deleting a project or uninstalling the app removes that data from your device; we have no copy to delete on our end, because we never had one.
AI Magic Editor requires an active internet connection to open the editor — if your device is offline, you'll see a "No network connection" screen instead. This is an app-level access check only. That connection is never used to transmit your photos, and no image data leaves your device because of it. If we ever change this requirement, this policy will be updated first.
The free version of AI Magic Editor shows ads served by Google AdMob on non-editing screens (Home, Projects, Settings), and offers optional rewarded ads to unlock things like HD export. Advertising is kept logically separate from the editing pipeline described above:
Where required by applicable law (for example, in the EEA and UK), a consent form appears before personalized ads are requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can review or change that choice any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Options.
We collect nothing that identifies you personally. The table below is exhaustive.
The app requests only what a given feature needs, when you use it:
Saved projects, thumbnails, and app preferences live in the app's private storage area and your device's gallery. You can delete individual projects from the Projects screen, or remove everything at once by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in your device's system settings.
AI Magic Editor does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and (as described above) doesn't collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided us information in a way not described here, contact us and we'll address it.
If this policy changes — for example, if the network requirement in Section 2 changes — we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
